Based on artwork originally presented in The Frenzied Dance of Art and Violence, Alicia will be co-presenting a paper she wrote in conjunction with Dr. David Gussak on the artwork of the serial killer. Presentation focuses on how different theoretical perspectives may influence art interpretation and the positive impact of professional discussion and debate. 

Alicia will be leading a workshop on disenfranchisement and bias in grief work at the 2024 American Art Therapy Association conference in Pittsburgh, PA. Based on the first directive from her upcoming book, the workshop will explore how unconscious beliefs about grief and its manifestations may influence and limit effective treatment. 

Artful Grieving is Alicia's 1st upcoming book! Currently under contract with Jessica Kingsley Publishers Artful Grieving is the first of its kind resource for art therapists and grief counselors. With 50 art directives based on empirically supported grief counseling models, it is the perfect addition to the clinician's toolbox.
